Steve,
Yes, it will show boost with the truck still in gear...just coasting along. The problem occurs even in stock mode... And has only happened at W.O.T. in 3rd gear, any clue?
I would like to see if we could figure it out before I bring it to the dealership.

Thanks
Spiro

If you leave it that way, one of us could be the fastest qualifier at the next WFC outing! (j/k). Did you actually pull your chip out when you said it did it in stock mode, or switch positions on Sals chip? If your chip was out and it only does it in third gear at WOT, I would think it has to be a problem relating to signals coming back to the ECM from either the transmission or speed sensor in the rear end. You didn't damage anything when you did your gears or trans pan & shiftkit, did you?
By the way, Reality1 was having intermittent problems with his ECM momementarily dropping out power, but I don't think it actually killed the engine when it ocurred.
Let us know what you find.

Spiro,

Mine would momentary shut down at wierd times..Sometinmes WOT..very noticeable, not noticeable at 20 mph.
My radar jammer would go through its initialization on shutdown (sometimes that was the only noticeable indication). Id compare it to a flicker of the lights in a storm, causing you to reset all the clocks. It can shutdown for a split second and you can't tell if driving slowly. I never had to restart it was so fast.
At first I thought something was screwy with the Jammer, self testing for no reason at all.

The new computer fixed this.
If it still does this with your chip out, maybe you can talk your dealer into trying a different computer.
Jim

Angry Have a new Problem....Need some tech

Since I have returned from Norwalk, I have been experiencing a strange thing. In 3rd pull around100 mp.h., 4300 r.p.m., The truck actually shuts down At first I thought It might just be the fuel pump problem that some have had, but I duplicated the situation and fuel pressure did not drop.So now I actually have to restart the truck at that speed The funny thing is if I do hit the gas pedal, it will actually register boost, but the truck has shut down. I know this is a weird one, any comments??? Thanks

Spiro

I assume your still in gear, so the engine is still sucking air, causing a vacumn when with the throttle closed, actuating the supercharger bypass, when you open the throttle, the vacumn is reduced and the bypass is closed.

Is this with or/and without a chip?
Full Throttle or/and part throttle?

I had this problem as well. The dealer was able to reprogram / reflash the computer and fix it. It would happen every time I put my superchip back on. Switched to Sal's chip and it hasnt happened since.

Thanks for the replies.

LightningBob,
Its been a while , You bring up some good points. I will have to check to be sure everything is installed properly.I dont believe anything was damaged during installs. I am actually leaning toward the fuel pump now.....It doesnt do it everytime, but more than I like.

Reality1,
Hey Jim, thanks for the responce on this one. Seems like me and you are going through the same stupid problems lately. I know Sal could help, but I have not heard from him. He's going through his own S H I T right now, no need to bother him with this.He would probably have to see the truck in person and I have no time to bring up North I hope I could figure it out....

Nathan,
When you say they reflashed, Do you mean they didnt have to replace the PCM? Was there a charge of any kind? Thanks for input

Spiro
