I could be wrong but the new 2000 R/9 from SuperChip could be so new that no one has even tested it to be able to give any comparison between PSP vs. Super???????

Well we all know that Superchips has their own dyno. I am sure that it has been ran several times on theirs. Hey Mike is there any way to get a dyno sheet on this R9 chip??

Fordsales, I bet you are correct about a dyno test b/w the new R9 and any other chip.

My recent testing was the '99 CUX1TRAC program and the PSP chip.

Hi Wes, (Tarbox)

You should give us a shout so we can get you updated to the R9 program for your 1999, so you can see just exactly what the others are raving about. You'll find it's noticeably different from what you have now, in that it shifts lighter on part-throttle, has more power in the lower rpm ranges, etc. For example, in your CUX1TRAC program, in Position 2 there is never any torque converter lockup. In Position 2 of the R9 program at full-throttle you don't have TQ lockup but on part-throttle you do, so you can run that program all the time without having to worry about heat buildup in the transmission due to no TQ lockup. We've also done a very nice change on the WOT shift characteristic that makes the truck leap forward without a banging too-hard upshift.

Hi TimburnTire,

Hmmm, might we suggest taking a cold shower, or perhaps some saltpeter?

Just kidding!

Hi Sam,

The peak power gain in the R9 programs for either the '99 or the '00 Lightnings runs anywhere from a low of 40 hp to as much as 44-45 hp at the flywheel.

Any dyno charts would have to come directly from Superchips themselves, and I'm sure in time they'll post it on their web site. The Lightning development has been on-going, and with so many different programs there are many different dyno charts to keep up with down there.
