Cool HATE those DAMN lovebugs

Does anyone else in this country have anything as worthless and pissy as south Louisana lovebugs? These damn small black bugs come in clouds for three weeks twice a year and can etch your paint in two days if left on. I am washing two or three times a day here in Lafayette. It sickness me to drive hearing the bugs pounding themselves to pieces on the truck, it's like driving in rain but when you stop, the love of your life, is covered with that crap. How can you walk into work knowing thier worthless guts are out there eating away at your paint? Man, only one more week.

Alvin

Have f*$kbugs in Florida to and they are a b#@ch to remove. You MUST get them off right away.Just keep the front waxed very good and every time I drive mine it gets a good wipe down.Keep instant detailer with me at all times! I wish ours only lasted 3 weeks, more like a month.Just got to love mother nature,to make a bug that does nothing but f*$k and die.

Yeah, I remember them critters from my days in Florida. Riding my bike was a real bi*#h. We use to spray PAM on the front of our trucks, it made a real mess, but the bug juice didn't eat the paint. No luv bugs in Jersey, We got West Nile Scitters!!!

We've got lovebugs, but I don't know about that "rain" stuff. I've kinda remember something about it from years ago, but I was so young at the time...

I live in FL, my trick in lvoe bug season is to smear some vasoline on the fron of my truck (it dosent look that good once it starts to get dirty) but you can easily wipe it off and nothing, i mean nothign will get to the paint >

Cool

3 coats of Zaino polish will take care of the bugs sticking to your paint. I recently switched to the Zaino products and I am extremely impressed. The truck has a mile deep shine that no carnuba wax can touch. When I wash the truck the water doesn't bead up like a past or liquid wax, instead it sheets off leaving virtually no standing water. I have used a lot of waxes over the years (I'm 33) and will never go back to ordinary waxes--never.

Trying to understand the positive aspects of the love bug invasion. I understand that scientist's are examining how the lovebug copulation can remain so long and withstand interference. Perhaps the study will have some human posibilities.
