Resale Value
How a vehicle retains its resale value is usually a good indicator of its quality. Just for fun, I went out to the Kelley Blue Book web site to get the Trade-In value for a 1999 Lightning in excellent condition with 20,000 miles on it. Trade-in is usually less than retail because costs a dealer incurs to re-sell the vehicle are considered in the calculation. Kelley came in with a Trade-in value of $29,770.00 for the Charlotte, NC area. That's so awesome!

One local sold his 99L for 30k. He had some mods done but I am not sure how much he had spent. Egad, he bought a prowler and drives that slo moving bug eyed swine to the car show every Friday evening. Every now and then he winces when someone asks him why he sold his Lightning. Guess maybe he has second thoughts every now and then.
