Directions

Directions to the Track

If you are coming from the Cleveland Area:
Take Route 480 west to Route 10 (Norwalk exit). Follow Route 10 west until it becomes Route 20. Take Route 20 to Route 601. Turn left and proceed until you see the Budweiser entrance on the right.

If you are coming from the North, East, or West:
Take the Ohio Turnpike to exit 118 (Route 250). Head south on Route 250 into Norwalk. Watch for Burger King & K-Mart on the left side of Route 250 as you enter the Norwalk city limits. Just past Burger King and before K-Mart, turn left onto Republic. Follow Republic to the traffic light. At the light, follow the green Norwalk Raceway Park directional signs to the track.

If you are coming from the South:
Follow Route 250 North to Norwalk. After entering the Norwalk City Limits, at the first overpass (Route 250 bypass), look for the green Norwalk Raceway Park directional signs. Follow the sign by taking Route 20 east. Get off at the first exit (Route 18) and make a right turn. (You’ll see another green Norwalk Raceway sign). The Summit gate will be approximately 2 miles down on the left side on Route 18.

Do we want to try and stay at one hotel/motel? A parking lot full of Ls would be fun.

I can get some info and rates together if any one is interested. I've got a list around here somewhere of lodging for Cedar Point.

I don't know what is in Norwalk proper, but if we stay near Sanduskey, we'd have an excuse for a 5-10 mile Lightning Parade to Norwalk. If we drove fast enough, we could probably even get a police escort!

Thanks Steve,
Summit Racing is running this event. I talked to them on the phone and said no on setting up a Gen. 2 Lightning Bracket.
Basically he said we could run the Ford Street class (trophy class) or the money class. But there is some stiff competion in the money classes.

This is the head count so far:
Silverbullet
BABolt
HIGH RISK
PFA
Spirro
JohnnyLightning
SpeedinBob
TopCat14
Hitman31
BAD DOG
Ashenor
2000 BlackBolt
98_SVT_Cobra
Zorprime
IcePick
BAD BOLT

Lets see if we can get some more.

HIGH RISK

Bad dog, Silver, High Risk and All,

Hell, this sounds just like a Fun Ford Weekend except for trucks. Cool by me.

I would be interested in seeing if we can get a central place to stay. It has been my experience (twice) that rooms are rather salty (read: expensive) in the Sandusky area due to the "other folks" attending Cedar Point. However, A "L" train from Sandusky to Norwalk would be very cool.
I know there is a New (4 years old)Comfort Inn (w/ pool) on the south end of Sandusky and an Applebee's just up the street.

Since Mrs. Speedin Bob will more than likely not be joining me on this trek, I may just build a fire, grab the Old No. 7, and camp on the grounds (last resort)

I'll up at 3:00 am and on the road from Indy Saturday morning. Save me a spot in the "Storm Cloud" just in case I get to meet Ohio's constabulary Mano-a-mano.

Looking forward to it!!!

Hey guys - I'll tag along. I don't have that much track experience and know I can't hang with you fast cats but you can count me in - if for no other reason than support. I'm putting in for vacation on Monday - yahoooooooooooo!!

Trimble,

You can sit on your *** watching football all winter. Where are your priorities?
