I asked below about a filter - is that a good start for performance increase? What else can be looked at for cost effective performance gains. I only am interested in getting a 2000 Lightning in to the low to mid 13's.....

If your looking for Low to Mid 13's, just add a shift kit and a chip. And as you know,some sort of Drag tire. I myself use Mickey Thompson Drag ET's with a average of 1.86 60'...

As for the intake kits, it's up to you, they all do the same thing. I think you might want to check the FAQ board that some of these guys worked real hard on creating for new L members.... They have tons of info. there

Don't spend money on a filter by iteself as they are not compatable with the PRO-M MAF. The two things you should buy are a PRO-M MAF/FILTER and a chip. Look at the FAQ.

PS Actually your first mod should be to synthetic oil. Your truck comes with synthetic oil in the transmission and rearend but not the engine. Most of us are running Mobil 1 5W30.

If your happy with just 13.50/13.30, go with the PSP kit. chip/filter kit. that's all you need for 13.50/13.30's.

12.80's: gears,chip,filter,bassani's,shift kit, slick's.

12.10/12.00's: add N2O.
