Put me on the list of thrilled also. This was a great event, if you missed it, be sure and go next year. Another chance would be to go to October 21-23 SCAT event. They rent this track for one day each year for a club outing. Vehicles do not have to be Cobras or even Mustangs. Good group of people.

sixpipes, definitely liked the black billet grill on the gorilla, nice truck. If that Lightning that made ground on you was white and had svt banner on windshield, it was me. I agree, L's were the faster vehicles there. I have autocrossed L (and other cars) in past and the L does very well against Mustang Cobra's on tight courses, but is slower due to the extra 1000+ lbs it hauling. The long straights and higher speeds of this course and corners seemed to work to our advantage. There was also grumbing from many of the Mustangs as well about a couple of their very timid (SLOW) cohorts.

I too was impressed with the skill levels of the Bondurant drivers. I grabbed an instructor on very first open lap (getting the most for my money and previewing what they can do for me). I already had plans to attend their driving school in next few months to enhance my autocross play. This event confirmed that desire. Bondurant and SVT have a deal that secures a good discount for SVT owners.

I will post a picture later when I have a moment to scan it. For those who may be interested, I purchased the CD and will post any pictures that have other L's when I receive them. I was lucky, they had > 15 pictures of my truck on track so some of ya'll will likely be in them.

So you're the guy, huh? Thanks for not running over me on the last lap. Post information on the Bondurant thing if you don't mind. I might be interested.

Sixpipes,

Thanks for the Pic. Had to leave early and didn't get a chance to buy some. This is the only pic I have of me at the event. I definetly liked the grillon your beast, putting it on my list of gonna have to do's. It was nice meeting you as well. Thanks again!

bobcmt, mine is the other white L. in the morning session, so any of the pics without the windshield banner are me. That'd be great if you could post them.

I was frustrated by being so far from the track. I couldnt get any decent shots. The only pics of you are in the staging lanes unfortunately. 20 years ago when I was in school I took pictures for both the yearbook and the newspaper. But I began to resent the fast the while trying to record the event for posterity you dont expereince the event so now I just take a few pictures, then enjoy the event and then try to take a few more.

Your shots are nice. The pictures I took of the same things dont appear as clear. What kind of camera were you using and what resolution did you shoot at ??

Hmm. looks like my last post came out kinda rough. Didnt mean it that way. I was just hoping someone had some unposted pics.
Anyway, I only shot the pics at 640x480 since I wanted to get as many as possible on my Fuji's meager 4mb of RAM. On the good side, it has a decent optical zoom so I could get acceptable images off of the distance shots. They would have been better if I had the space for 1280x960 images.
