I received my reflashed chip back in the mail today. This was the CUXR7 update. All I can say is WOW! The truck really pulls stonger through the entire RPM range. The new shifts are way firmer than before. The shifts are brutal. They are to the point of almost being to firm ( did I just say that). Seriously, Superchip just got rid of any need to install a shift kit. This chip gets rubber on the 1st-2nd shift at a little more than half trottle. That takes a little getting used to. Anyone else notice the improved shift firmness?

I just got My CUX2R7 chip this week, It does shift nice & strong! Why would guys go Through the trouble of putting a shift kit in? It doesn't need one. About 1/4 down on the pedal and Bang-Screech!! No shift kits for me. Lloyd

 

I have not seen the same results with the cuxr7 as far as the chirp from 1st to 2nd, and a friend of mine has not either. I installed a level 10 kit yesterday and it rocks. It shifts harder but cleaner, no hesitation between the shifts like the chip, now almost getting a chirp in third. I am going to the track next week and will let you know how the et's are affected. My first results are only from the street but it sure seems like a awesome combo! Well worth the $150.

 

I had mine re-flashed at the dealer this week, only change I had made was to calibrate for 93 Octane. First time outta the box I get rubber all the way until the truck hits third gear. WOW
