Three 2000 Lightnings For Sale In Marylandi
Sheehy Ford in Gaithersburg, MD got two silver and one red. One silver and red came in late last week. The other silver must have been on the lot around two months now. Sheehy typically marks down Lightnings by $500 of MSRP. You can haggle from there. They sold a red one about two months ago for $29.5K.

Nuno, it was a howardje on this board that bought the new 2000 from Sheehy a couple or maybe three months ago. He said he paid $29.5K. I was there when he took delivery. He lives in Virginia.
If you do not mind telling, how much did you pay for the 99? I know they had a used one on the lot several months ago or so with about 2000 miles on it. Looked real clean. Is that the one you bought? Or, are we talking about something else?

I bought it back in May and paid $28.5K but they cut me a really good deal on my trade in (i never thought i would get so much for it)

Yeah, live in Silver Springs. Bought my Lightning from Sheehy. Glad to hear you got a good deal.
I was wondering why the original owner traded it in after only 2000 miles. I thought maybe it was a lemon return. You know you can go on www.carfax.com (I think that is the site) and check on that kind of stuff. Sometimes they do the lemon return check for free. Apparently they have about a billion VINs in their database with titling information.

Sorry Thunderstruck, but redlite is correct. I still have the red lightning that I bought for 29.5k in June. I never returned it. You picked yours up before I got mine.
I took it to 75/90 a couple of weeks ago and was running 13.9s. Pretty strong!
I just ordered a Downs intake. I hope it fits OK.
See ya!

Thunderstruck and howardje, do you guys have the notorious front-end "clunk" noise? If so, did you get it fixed yet?
You may have seen some of my previous posts about the clunk noise. I had to get the lower control arms replaced. Apparently my truck was not upgraded at the factory with the Lightning specific control arms.
Anyway, if you do have the clunk noise, and need to demonstrate it to the Sheehy mechanics, I have a little "test track" off Route 355 where I was able to reproduce the noise pretty consistently so the mechanic quickly knew there was a problem and able to zero in on the source immediately. Test track is only about 1/3 mile from Sheehy.
