Question RUNNING LEAN ?

hey guys JL here. ive been hearing alot of people saying the only reason my truck runs in the 12's is because my program is way to lean. well i just got back from superchips and got the A/F 10:9 i don't think thats too lean.... i just changed my program while down there and now i'm 11:4 is that to lean ? (don't think so)! here is my dyno results!
330 hp / 491 ft.lbs
491 @ 2,500
475 @ 2,600 to 4,200
425 @ 4,300 to 4,800
325 @ 4.900 to 5,200

good enough for me ! i'll be testing at the track fridaynight i'll let you know how it goes........ oh yea we did make 501 ft.lbs with 1 program but decided this was the best one...........

Looks great, JohnnyL!

I'd say 11.4 is excellent for 93 octane gas. You're definitely not running lean!

FWIW, my PSP chip gets the A/F ratio down in the 11.8-11.7 range. The Superchip was actually a bit leaner than this (like 12.0:1) using this particular wide-band meter.

Quick question...the guys at the dyno report that running the wide-band on a car equipped with cats will make it read leaner than it really is. True or false? Makes a little sense to me, but I'd like to hear from others.

Hey Johnny,
That does not seem too lean to me. Glad to hear you found improvements at Superchips.
I know that I should also have my air/fuel ratio checked. As you know,by the look of my plugs, I am running a little too RICH. Sent you an e-mail, but havent heard from ya'....
