Wink Team Ford Racing

I were hesitant 'bout sharing this information because I know some of the more sensitive types on this board might become very envious, but I received a personal letter from Edsel B. Ford II today inviting me, personally, to become a CHARTER MEMBER of Team Ford Racing, all for the mere pittance of $24.95 per year, a DISCOUNT of 37%. For joining not only do I receive a GENUWINE TEAM FORD RACING cap, sewn together in a sweat shop in a third world country from $0.79 worth of materials, but the ability to purchase other sweatshirts, jackets, caps, key rings, mugs, and more at LOW LOW prices. I also get a monthly newsletter, and access to a members only web site. When I read this letter I had to sit down and breath from a paper bag to keep from hyperventilating. I hope that those of you that were not fortunate enough to receive this wonderful offer will not hold my good fortune against me. I will strive to remain the charitable and humble Lightning owner you have always known, even though some of you may not be able to join me in the special Team Ford Racing sections at the Paris-Dakar ralley, etc. But, I was advised, this is a limited time offer, so I have to sign off and get to bed early so I can call first thing in the morning and sign up. Ta ta, you unfortunates.

That must be one hell of a hat. That's about twice the material cost of a regular hat that's available to us common people.

Got mine yesterday! It was like winning the Readers Digest $1,000,000.00 give away. I had to sit down, felt like a heart attack at first, then I read it through. Couldn't sleep all night, tossing and turning, trying to figure out how I got on this "IDIOT LIST" of theirs. Sent mine back this morning asking them to remove me from their "SUCKER'S" list. Didn't need anymore junk mail, and wanted to save a few trees.

Alpha,

I thought I was the only one that received this "personal " letter from Edsel B......

Ok, so I joined and got my Kathy Lee sweatshop hat, newsletter, offical card, etc.

I was able to save almost 50 bucks on a rental car through Hertz when I was on vacation last week. 2000 Lincoln Towncar (incognito as a retiree) and 100 mph across Alligator Alley was mighty comfy too...
I would have rented that car anyway so I see it as saving the cost of membership. Counld talk them into a deal on the Jag though. The constant emails get a bit annoying but oh well.

Actaully, the quality of the third-world hat is quite nice. It's my "track hat"

Don't know about you guys and gals, but I kept the Ford Racing sticker before I tossed the rest of the letter. I am hoping it will cut .2 or .3 off in my 1/4 mile times.

Not only that, but yesterday I received a letter from Ford easing my mind that the Firestone tires on my 2000 F-150 were not involved in the recall. What a relief... Should I tell them that I have F-1's ?

Got mine last week. Kept the decal and posted it on my back window to see if it had any effect on e.t.s. Went to the track, made a pass- no noticeable effect but got warned for going to fast on the return road.(Could it have been the decal?) Does this count?

I got one the other day. Funny thing is that I haven't owned an SVT for 4 years! Maybe owning an SVO counts

They messed up and sent the decal with the letter though - so now I can stick it on and ACT like I'm in thin air without having to cough up the $25!

HA!
