What would happen if Redline's racing ATF was put in the transmission instead of the regualar Mercon fluid? What do you guys think? Would damage occur to the tranny with this fluid? I like the idea of this ATF containg no slipperiness additives, producing faster shifts and quicker lock-up, and reducing elapsed time in drag racing. Anybody try this yet?

This product is designed to be used where Type-F fluids are recommended or for racing transmissions which need quicker shifts than provided with Dexron II fluids. This product can also be used in manual transmissions which require ATFs, providing better gear wear and better shiftability, but Red Line MTL® will provide even better wear protection and shiftability. Email them and ask, I like the idea if they have something that is compatable with our tranny.

The fluid in your transmission MERCRON V is synthetic. Probably nothing you can notice will happen. If you want better shifts put in a shift kit or a chip.
