Post Lighted Logo's Installed- @&#^%$%#@ anti rust coating

I installed a Lighted Logo on the Front and on the tailgate. I wired em both to the Fog Light switch. Running the wire from the back to the front resulted in me looking like I was tarred and feathered. The Damned undercoating is so soft and so sticky.... !(I@&#^(!@ (O!*@&#WE)(!*@ I bet the guys on the assembly line love it too !!!

Posted some pictures on www.svtlightnings.com

Hey, awesome photos, I was going to do that this weekend if it didn't rain. You beat me to it!

Just a note for others: you do not have to shear off the little plastic snaps for the small rubber skirt. Using a standard screwdriver, I was able to pop out all 4 (or 5?) of the little plastic snaps on each side of the skirt BEFORE pulling out the front grill. Then when you put the grill back on, you can just pop them back up and in. Very easy.

Thanks Daniel,

I have gotten lots of good ideas from folks here so I thought I should post some photos to return the favor....

I tried prying the plastic snaps out and since I had already dinged the paint around the tailgate logo getting it off I decided to avoid further paint damage. Autozone charged 1.19 for a package of replacements for the ones I sheared off.

This weekend I will take some photos of the rear install. I found a neat place to stash the inverter, details to follow.

Now that I know how easy the front corners come off I will likely be buying some clears....

Doug

Looks awesome doug! It'd be cool if ford started putting those in on all f150's. Do you know if Dennis got his logo's yet? I wanna see what the Go_Rila looks like with it on. Once again, looks great bud.

Thanks Lee

Go_Rila told me last night he thinks the Lighted Logo's are high schoolish even though he has one on his tail gate. Since his tailgate was at the painters he felt like he could get away with the High Scholl comment.
I think he was in a bad mood after the results of the races last night
You can see some pictures on www.svtlightnings.com

Flatsman sorry we missed you on Sunday at the heat wave. Major communication mishap ... Trying to get G0_Rila to spring for a CB next time since he doesnt answer his phone..

I am going to post some pictures of the rear install and a link to Go_Rilas pictures this weekend. Seems every kid at the track last night asked me where I got the Lighted logos. North Coast should be sponsoring me....

Hey Flats man,
how have you been doing? You need to let me know when you are coming back down here so maybe we can get Go_Rila and head out to the track or something. Does dennis have a web page? If so, can you send me a link. Talk to ya later bud.

Thumbs up

A little tip for the tar. I used Krylon semi-flat black paint over the tar. It seem's to have made a hard shell over the tar. For me, it worked. I can tell where I missed a spot real fast. DOH *#*%&* TAR!! GET ME THE PAINT.
