New best with KB 2.6 at Famoso

I was at Famoso Raceway Friday night to run the
new Kenne Bell 2.6 S/C with high boost for the first time in the ¼ mile.
The new set-up has my own 4.5” (114mm) intake with a BA2400 MAF.
I used a pulley ratio of 3.36:1.
The Maf counts reached 924 at 21# boost @ 5800 rpms.
A/F was 11.3 to11.6:1 with C16 VP race fuel.
I retuned it the next day for a flat, safe 11.2:1
The timing was 17 degrees and allowed to change with IAT2.
The truck was not dyno tuned with the new set-up.
The old setup was 640hp 720tq SAE
I used the SCT PRP to tweek the old KB 2.3 tune.
The first pass verified the tune was safe.
The second run netted a 10.73 @ 124mph with a small let up at the end.

The third pass:
60’…1.511
1/8….6.800 @103.87
1/4 …10.696 @129.49

I think it will do a 10.5xx with a pulley ratio of 3.66:1, no Nos.

My thanks go to my power train builder, Dante, and Kenne Bell for the S/C.

The new bottom end Tq would have easily lifted the front tires had I tuned the suspension for it.

Awesome! Congrats. I'll say myself that the 2.6 KB rocks and I have something in the works right now.

Very impressive!

Curious how you built the larger intake tube and how bad did it change the maf table? Any pictures? It's been a project I wanted to work on.

The old 108mm (4.25") housing was from JDM. My new 114mm (4.5") housing run .5 A/F leaner WOT.
11.2 old, 11.7 new before tweeking.
The 4.5" tube has a 90 degree turn with a 9.5" radius and matches the throttle body, filter perfectly.
I CNC machined a Maf mounting plate and welded it to top of the tube.
NO, I will not make any more plates so don't ask.
That's for the supporting venders to do.
The filter sits in a 'chicken ears' ca box.
