Well...here we are going on Wednesday and those guys over at Ford have really NOT impressed me. They ended up ordering a new ECM for my truck. I found that out last week. Only took them a week. Well...I called and called and called...only took about 3 days for someone to call me back and to they guy says that they are downloading the information from Ford to my new ECM (didn't know they had to do that). I said that I was just glad to have the problem resolved. He says to me, "man...I hope this works" Not something you want the guy working on YOUR vehicle saying.

I am getting nowhere with simply getting someone to even to call me back...much less actually work on my truck. So...I wrote the manager a letter. Pretty much said....have my truck put back the way you found it and have it in the parking lot tomorrow and will have it towed to someone who actually knows what they are doing.

I have lost all faith in Ford service techs

I had a Ford tech ask me, in a condescending way, how he was suppose to do a front end alignment if I had him install my Herb's washers. Since then I've never had any faith in them. Good luck Chad.

Chad,
Is your truck at Brandon ford? If it is take it somewhere else like Bill Curie Ford off of Dale Mabry. Everytime I took my truck to Brandon Ford they screwed it up. Ended up taking it to Bill Curie never had a problem. They seemed to known what they were doing. Good Luck

Dave

OH...sorry...forgot to say. Well...as it turns out....it WAS the ECM.. Basically, the water had gotten up into the MAF, MAFIA, fuse box, and the PCM. They bascially dried out the other parts but were unable to get any communication with the ECM back...so they had to replace it. Not too bad though. Just was horrible customer service.

But....all-in-all....I learned a lesson. Lesson is not to run 40+ mph through water that is 2 feet deep.
