Cool

The Eaton for the Type R is in the works. This car stock must be revved above 4500 to haul *** but believe me it does. Stock it chirps third. Clutch seems fine so far with..laughing..just 5000 miles on it. Just put in Mobil 1. Rotated the tires. Try one. It may just surprise you. Yeah it's a 4 wheeled scooter but hey I stay dry. I bought one of the First Kawa Ninja's back in 84. There is no comparision to the thrill of a crotch rocket , twistin' the wick and blippin' the throttle and snapping it into gear without help from the clutch. I shimmed the buckets once ,changed oil, burnt a couple wider Michelins up dumped it several times...what can I say. I oiled the chain bought one new battery because My trickle charger didn't work well over the winter and still sold it 6 years later for damn near cost. First nite out I ate a CB1100SS up...
Fun is fun...speed is Fun...you know the equation. I used to ride the canyons in Colorado and Wyoming where I lived....Not to mention the wide open highways in a state that had less than 20 State troopers at the time. Or at least it was one of the smallest Troops going. My 93 Lightning was a blast..but this truck is more fun to Me. Maybe the lower rear end gears would make it even more so.
Once on the Ninja when coming onto the highway I was cruising about 90....seems slow..anyway when I reached Cheyenne there where a couple Troopers in the median..I started slowing...you can see forever out there...
There was a Troooper closing fast on My 6. He had chased Me 20 miles from the dirt rode I lived on...I was a bad Man...I told him I wasn't tryin` to run..I just never noticed him...He was cool..90 in a 70...used to speedin' on the interstate in Wyoming did't go on your record...unless it was written up a chuckle, wreckless.

Wink

There are many ways to make horsepower - Mickey Thompson cut a Pontiac 4 cyl engine in half back in 65 and put the 2 cyl motor in a dragster and turned 98 mph in the quarter! (check HRM) Considering the tires available back then that's a very remarkable speed!
Big motor - big cubes / smaller motor - higher revs and superchargers or turbos / even smaller motor = RPM's RPM's and RPM's. Given the choice I would always take the Lightning motor (or bigger) over he quadzillion RPM rice burners. Wanta bet which one lasts longer?
