Post win at Norwalk, Indy next?

Last Wednesday I managed to pull off a class win at Norwalk. Very hot and humid day, ran 14.0-13.9 . I also weighed the truck - full tank of gas, roll-n-lock, cooler, lawn chairs, 125lb passenger, my 233 lbs - 5,101lbs. Anyone going to the Brickyard 400 race? I'll be there Thursday thru Saturday night. Any good bars in the area?

98_SVT,

Congrads on your win at Norwalk!!

Being from Indy and living ten minutes from the Brickyard, I think I can help.

A real cool bar/restaurant close to the Speedway is Union Jacks. They are just off the 465/Crawfordsville Road exit and about three miles northwest of the Speedway. Their sign is a yellow spinning Legends car with Neon. Lots of Race memorabelia, many many different beers on tap , good food, yada yada, yada.

Another cool place is called Broadripple. It is a little village area with at least 15 bars. The closest intersection is College and Broadripple Avenue. It is a little jaunt from the track but worth it. Average Joe's is my favorite place.

Are you driving you "L" to town? Maybe we can hook up for a cold one Thursday or Friday evening. If you see a pi$$ed off Red 99 with "Indy F1" tags and an "SVT Lightning" windshield header, dat would be me. Drop me a line at Robert.Peden@asphalt-materials.com if ya want to hook up.

I'll be headed to Norwalk next month in case we don't catch up to one another.
