Cool should i get the 6# pulley?

Look at my mods and HP . i would like to get a little more for my DD 2001 L. if i install the 6# and get a new tune, i am sure i will hit 430 or better. i will also get a MAFIA just to play safe. i know this has been discussed before, but, there seems to be a % of people that believe that going to 6 # will shorten the life of the engine.

do i really need the idler pulleies? should i just replace the pullies to 100mm or is there a better way?

Wow, same mods and tuner and very similar numbers.

As far as the 6lber goes, it's up to you. If you feel safe with it go ahead.

How do you like the Hotchkins tvs as a DD? I've been thinking of getting the kit.

Oh, and the idlers help belt slip. I would assume you have some serious slippage with the 4lber and FTVB.

Get it. 100k miles on 99 with 60k having the 6#.
The only thing that might suprise you is you (probably) won't hit 430 hp, but you will hit at least 530 tq., and that will definitely be felt SOTP

Go for it! I got a 6# lower and a dyno tune and I am making 396.4rwhp and 521rwtq. This was dynoed on a mustang dynometer not a dynojet. Hence the reason for the low numbers, plus it was a pretty conservative tune.

If it's you daily driver and you aren't quite comfortable with a 6# lower. Why not get a 2.8 upper and idler. With a good tune, it would be a nice between comprimise.

Cool

Falcon11, i really enjoy the TVS. the truck handles the way it should have come from factory for a sports truck.

which idler should i get? should i get bigger tensioner pullies or the idler bracket combination?

Huh.

with a 6# and BPU on stock block I made 435/522 to the wheels. Since then I've added full exhaust and ported intake so I'm probably closer to 445-450/540-545 at the rear tires.
