CA Bay Area Lightning owners?
Hi all, I recently found this bulletin board.
4th of July weekend, I became the owner of a black 2000 Lightning! This is the first brand new car that I have ever owned. I have about 800 miles on it now. Bought it down in southern CA at Cerritos Ford before driving it up to San Jose. I can't believe how smooth it is...
Are there any other Bay Area owners here? I've seen another black one parked in Mountain View near where I work but haven't had a chance to catch the owner.
Are there any other SVT dealerships in the Bay Area besides Varsity Ford in Menlo Park?
Where's the closest race track around here? (Still new to the area)

I don't have a 2000 or 2001 Lightning YET, but there is a Ford dealership on Stevens Creek blvd. in San Jose called Frontier Ford which is a SVT dealer.
The closest race tracks in the area are Sears Point in Sonoma and Sac Raceway in Sacramento. BTW how much did you pay for your Lightning?

Congrats on the new Lightning!
Although I don't live there now, I grew up in Union City/Fremont/Haywayrd area. Planning on taking my Lightning on a road trip down there sometime this year, hopefully before we get snow in the mountain passes between Portland, Oregon and the SF Bay Area. Enjoy!

Congrats on the new L! There are quire a few SVT dealers in the bay area. I live in Benicia and there are at least 3 other Lightnings in town. Closest race track may be Sears Point in Sonoma.

Cerritos Ford was asking MSRP and that's what I paid. Varsity Ford was asking MSRP + 5000.

Hey, I do not live there, but I have been through San Jose in my Lightning. I must admit I actually got road rage. Got to San Jose aroung 4pm and just wanted to get through. I-5 is BAD FOR TRAFFIC! I told myself I am never going to live in California again. I grew up in LA 5th-9th grade.
I think I made 5 miles in 45 minutes. No accident or nothin. The prblem was I had a job in LA, and I flew to Seatle with the intention of picking my truck up at the airport where I paid to have it dropped off. Problem was, it didn't get delivered, and I thought it was stolen. Turns out it was still at the Port of Tacoma and they are closed on weekends. Made it to LA on Wednesday night.
