You have a great thing going here, but if you haven't noticed it is going downhill from what it once was. Debating is good when it is not turned into personal attacks, which hasn't been the case lately. I will name the ones stirring the pot and personally who I find very rude and that would be SilverBullet and good ol' MAD (aka Betty).
If they stay and the board keeps going the way it is I know I'll be leaving and I'm sure their are more members that feel my way.
I really don't care even if they stay as long as they quit the member bashing posts that are just wasting my time and your bandwidth. I think it is time for you/us to choose what needs to happen to make this board great again.
On a side note: I think anyone that bashes another member should get dismissed from your site.

With all due respect... I've been on this board for at least six months now, and spent 2-3 months prior to that just reading and lurking. The business person in question has provided large amounts of info, and I've seen very little advertising on his part. No one seems to mind his posts in general. i see just as much if not more from other vendors.
If you want to get/keep the board to it's previous quality, punish the more obvious offenders. It seems that you are almost proud of the fact that Sal is leaving. I'm surprised, because I haven't seen much obvious contempt between you and he. You obviously have contacted him privately. Was Mad warned/moderated when he came back as betty? Why let betty and/or SilverBullet continue to bring down the board, and sit idly by when someone who CONTRIBUTES leaves? This makes NO sense to me.
Why does this happen ONLY on the LIGHTNING board? I don't know.... Do Mad/betty and/or Silver Bullet post anywhere else on the board? Does sal post anywhere else? Does he get routinely flamed and badgered anywhere else? Hmmmmm!!!????

1st the statments are NOT DEFENDING ANYONE COMPANY OR PERSON.
Well this really started because of one thing COMPETITION. Everyone is so competitive today, You really have to be to stay on top. How this whole thing started with Silverbullet(Im not bashing him, he is a great guy also and has helped me outon stuff)is he found another company that makes a product for the Lightnings. And he introduced them to us the members of the f150online. In his opinion he said there better then PSP(Im not sure im not saying anything is better at this time). This forum is really bias on 1 company and it is PSP(I have nothing against SAL-He is a great guy who has helped me out of several occasions, and im not bashing him).But we have to open up to other ideas. I truely expected this on the board because when you have a group of people that are set on 1 thing they are not going to try something differnt(not all but some are like this). They belive what ever they have is the best. The topic was almost dead and gone but these threads get start and continue it(i know im contributing but trying to stop it). If someone dosnt like you/or your product(Yes there will be people who will dislike you or your product)Oh well you cant satisfy everyone. What should of been done in my own opinion is that the product be tested which it was and they gave there opinion of the product but people bashed on him about the product.He tried his best to show us something new. End the end the good products will still be good and the bad ones still be bad. Unfortunatly we have to fight about this to find out which ones is truely good. So people if you dont like a product or someone just leave it aside or do it on a personal matter not steves bandwidth. Now the thing about MAD/Betty is differnt some what, He came one here personaly attacking and getting pissing match started. Everyone is complaning about them then why did you jump in the middle of them and add fuel to the fire, just let it did ignore it and it will be over. Now when these Chip Wars Results come in its gona start it all over again, why because somethinks that it is not true it was set up or anything thye can come up with(trust me it will happen, osmeone out there will start sling-its to be expected intodays socity). So for future refrence people lets just state our opinions and give each other the respect that we want to be givin. There was no real reason for all of the agruing in the 1st place. If you dont like someones product dont buy them thing and move on, its plain and simple. If you feel your getting screwed over then say somehting to the company tell us what is happening to where we cn live and learn(we should be able to respect what the say and not start any crap). I dont know I maybe asking for to much out of you, but lets just be mature about this ordeal and not let it happen in the future.

Since this discussion seems to be coming to head because of the departure of someone whose obvious purpose here was primarily as a vendor, secondarily as a enthusiast, I will be honest that certain cases are going to be treated differently.

This is getting really old, really quickly, and starting re-hash history (which is still there for all to view if you want to see facts rather than speculation) so I am closing this thread.
4D THNDR and LightningDammitt you not aware of all of the details regarding Sal's departure, so even bother speculating or trying to place blame on me. I told Sal to cease all PSP/vendor discussions on this board and only be here as a Lightning enthusiast or move on. HE made the choice to leave. That tells me his primary goal here [b]WAS[]b] as a vendor. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.
I am so sick and tired of placing all of this on me. If so many of you Sal zealots think he is such a God, go to his site. I have spent to much time and lost too much sleep to have to deal with this bull**** anymore. I am going to move on, I hope you will too. I will not respond to any more threads on this issue.

Before you imply that I do not run these boards fairly, you have to know all the facts. If you have such a problem with it, I firmly suggest you go elsewhere. Perhaps you'd like to take up the task of running your own site and having to deal with know-it-alls like yourself.
