Calling QWIKPNY:
Good morning QWIKPNY to you from Athens Ga. Well..everything seems normal now.(so far). The engine has NO SLAPPY noises after about 300 miles and seems to run smoother at idle. My 1st engine did not develop the SLAP until about 400 miles.I was just very grateful to get my bolt back. Thanks to Silver 2000 everyone can kinda see this process of engine exchange(posting of my pics). When my truck was FINALLY ready to be picked up(get it?)the service manager and tech went over the whole truck with me to see if I had any complaints....They detailed the Bolt for me and did a good job...actually you cannot tell the engine was ever replaced....no cuts, scrapes, dents etc (I'm really happy about that!)The major problem for me was the time it took to do this but in the end the resultant job SEEMS to be quite good. The damaged ac condenser was an accident and PROMPTLY replaced.
The only question I had was why on my repair invoice they listed the replacement engine as
"REMANUFACTURED"....I asked the tech and service manager this, and their reply was that the dealer or ford did not have a invoice code or number to indicate a NEW engine so they use the "remanufactured" designation. The new engine while on the wooden crate looked brand spanking new. If anyone is curious can scan my invoice in for
viewing.....thanks QWIKPNY for asking about me.
