To All 2K Lightning owners:

We have just released the latest program for the 2000 Lightning, which adds more power than our previous programs. This program takes care of a couple of "fixes" that a few people have experienced both stock and with chips, such as "the 90 mph wall" and not being able to downshift into 1st gear above 25 mph at full-throttle kickdown. You can now downshift to 1st gear at speeds up to 42 mph by just nailing the gas pedal.

The power gains on this new program are nothing short of excellent, picking up over 32 horsepower at the rear wheels (on a good eddy current chassis dyno), and a good solid 40 hp + at the flywheel. Also, this program features very firm upshifts in both positions, for those who really like to feel that 4R100 nail the gears

Mike....Everything you said here is fact!!!My 2000 Lightning was the one they used to make the adjustments on.Jay was the guy I talked to from Superchips,he is in Engineering/Development.He set everything up for me,so I spent an entire day at the Superchips facility.Jay and the rest of the staff did a great job.All the people were very nice and real.I am very pleased with the 32.5 H.P. gain at the real wheels.It will put that grin on your face all over again,just like the first time you drove a Lightning!

I just talked to Mike about this. If you have a Superchip pack it up and send it in. This sound like Superchips answer to all the other chip manufactures. Be aware of one thing though. He says this one will shift firmer than your current program, even at light throttle. Include a $15 check to cover 2nd day return freight or $25 for overnight.

 

SVT-Snake...The shifts are firm on setting 1 but not too firm.I personally think it's fine.The shifting on setting 2,are very firm,no need for a shift kit IMOHO.
