Stupid Question 2V head VS 3V

This may seam stupid but I hear a lot of you all talking about it. What are the differences between the 2v heads and the 3v heads? Can a 3v head be put on a 2v engine? What years Cam with the 2v and what years cam with the 3v? What is the performance advantage of the 3v head over the 2v head? Thanks for your all help and your input.

Ummm...3V heads have two intake and one exhaust valve vs. the 2V head's one intake and one exhaust valve. The 3V heads have an intake port that is similar to that of a 4V head and will in all likelihood flow more than a 2V head. And no L came with a 3V head...all L's are 2V. The 3V heads come on the new Mustangs and F-150s.

And a 3V head won't fit an L without a custom intake manifold.
