Well I didnt actually get to race them on the drag strip but did race them in the autocross. Dont laugh at the times we all turned because the elevation was pretty high and the temp was about 100 degrees with high humidity. The event was the Spearfish anual corvette meet. No I didnt get to race them with my Lightning I had to use the 2000 LS1 Corvette I own. My best time in the 1/8 mile was a 9.11 @ 80 mph. The Z06 best time was a 8.95 @ 79 mph. The ZR1's were from 9.0 to 9.3. The quickest one had some sticky autocross tires on back for his runs. The Z06 had the stock tires they come with and I had stock tires the runflats the C5's come with. I do have a twin flow air intake and cat back exhaust. I didnt get to go head to head with any of the four cars but one guy got to go against the Z06 in a grudge match with his C5 running about a 9.3 time and he beat the Z06. I really wanted a Z but now am happy I didnt pay the high prices they want for one cause I feel with the same tires he had I could have equaled his times. I was really surprised at how slow the Zr1's were. I have run a time of 12.96 at 118 on a humid day with my car on my g-tech. I know the speeds are high on them but the time seems to be in line with what I did compared to the Z06. My times were run on a cooler day at a lower elevation,(North Dakota ) whatever our elevation is. I did equal the time of the Z06 in the autocross. The guy wasnt the best driver but it was my first time too. My girlfriend did win her class in autocross with my car and it was the first time she ever drove it or entered autocross. The girl can drive! I got knocked out in the third round of the drags because I missed 3rd gear. Just thought this might be interesting to some of you guys who have chevys too.
