Lug Nuts - Wrench Size
I have used a 13/16" and it works fine.
I have a question about the OD of the lugnut, though. I bought a set of DRs and rims from a 99 L owner and knew that I'd have to get 14mm lugnuts to use them. However, the OD of the 12mm nuts and the OD of the 14mm nuts are different, and the 14mm nuts are too long and too wide to fit on the rims that I have.
I guess my question is this: How are Ford's stock lugnuts on the 99 and 00 Ls the same socket size? Do the 99s just have a thicker wall? I'm just trying to sort all of this out before I am forced to get rid of the rims I have and get some "cheapies" to run at the track. (I am kind of partial to the ones I have now).
If anyone has any idea what I'm talking about, please let me know what the deal is. Thanks.

SilverBullet and Others:
Thanks for the advice. I bought a 21mm 1/2 inch drive socket (a deep one) last night and it works/fits just fine. It's just a little loose, so I wonder if a 13/16 inch would actually work better (converts to 20.6 mm). Anyway, suffice it to say that a 3/4 inch won't fit a 2000 Lightning.
