Cobra style heads for Lightning?
I'm sure it's been done...by Ford and Rouche, probably. But, you gotta' think that a setup will be ready any time in the aftermarket. BIG BUCKS!!! I heard that the intake may have to be modified to work with the heads.
This weekend I parked my Lightning in Corvette row at the Pavillion's. I could not believe the groups of people swarming the Lightning instead of checking out the Vettes.
Anyhow, this guy came up, asked which one of us owned this Lightning and when I told him it was me, he said "I just want to shake your hand". He said he saw some Lightnings kicking butt on the Chevy Thunder at the track. Well anyhow, he tells me that there are Cobra heads that just became available for the Lightning. Anybody know anything about this?

The heads used on new cobra R (only 300 built) should fit the Lightning since both are using the 5.4 but you would probably have too high of a compression ratio to use the blower, unless both heads have the same chamber size. Either way, I suppose you could still use them if you changed dished pistons. Sounds expensive though.
Just for info 600 Cobras made 300 to the dealership by lottery and 300 to race teams.
