Question Alternator ?

Dealer told me the L's use a different alternator than standard F150. I guess this has to do with the super charger. Does anyone know the amperage of our alternators?

Called SVT for this one right after I got my L. 120 amp. Designed for the Lightning only.

I doubt the whole alternator is differnet. I think they put in a 120 amp cartridge or something. I researched alternators when I thought about buying a work truck that had welding capabilities from its alternator. That enlightened me about different amp-ed 'cartridges' for your alternator. Instead of paying $200+ for a bigger alternator, you could buy a cartridge for say $30, it would work just as good. Ever thought of replacing this alternator? Lots of dismantling to do.
