Post Oh happy day.... (off topic)

Dealer called today to tell me he had sold my boat and to bring in the pink slip Monday. Now I am just a one boat owner again (the one in the sig) and I should get enough out of the old boat to pay for the motors on my new one.

George

Have you set up a time with Danny Swanson for the chip?

I have been very interested in the difference it will make with the new 4.10's.

Congrats. on the sale. I have always read that one of the happiest days in ones life is when the boat is finally sold.

Aw, Kevin, why ya wanna pick on an old man? Betcha got some kind of hot ski boat, dontcha? Why don't ya bring it over here to Ventura and we'll wait for a nice windy day and race to Pt. Conception and back. Or, wait til I get my Formula One tunnel hull and then I'll come up and race ya. Just kidding, but no point in dragging my saltwater boat to Mead; if I head up that way we'll just go out on your boat, OK? And vice versa if you come here.

Jim, no, I spoke to Danny on the phone last week, but did not set up a date. Have friends who are moving back to a house they own in Manhattan Beach. When they get settled in plan to go stay there while Danny does the truck. Supposedly they are en route from Seattle now, so I can't pinpoint a time yet.

And yes, it is a happy day simply because I don't want to support two boats, and I am ecstatic over my new one; can hardly wait to get the motors and electronics and get it in the water. Have you made a date with Mark to get the 4.10s installed?

Geo...Wonder what kind of gas milage those 4.10's would get on I15. Wish I had a set for around town. Do you see any track time in the future? Got a Eliminator Eagle 25' with a 502 MPI and step V hull. Come on up and we'll go for a ride, Sept is the best month on the lake.

Cool

Sounds like a fun ride, Kevin. Some day will take you up on your offer. Once I get the chip I expect to get better milage with the 4.10s than I do now because the factory settings are ridiculously rich, but of course it would be even better with the stock gears. As I recall the people with 4.10s report that they are paying about a 1 mpg penalty, but maybe you should post the question to the board. And yes, I do expect to take my truck to the track once I get the chip and Cal-tracs.
