Goodbye 93 L.....
Well,
As most have seen I have been selling off some garage parts that I had lined up to install on my 93 L.
Well, over the last month, the truck has been running terribly. Couldn't hold an idle, no power when cold, no power under 3K RPM when hot, terrible gas milage etc..etc... & no computer codes or check engine light.
After dropping a ton of cash at the dealer to try and resolve the problem...I must say that they one and again proved their total incompetance. I left it with them for 8 days and when I picked it up, all they had done is scanned for computer codes and performed an fuel system cleaning. Total time spent diagnosing, 2 hours. Not bad for 8 days in the shop.
Anyway, I tried like H@ll to fix things myself, new plugs, new wires, new MAP sensor, new dist cap, rotor, TFI module, coil, timing @ 10, sticking TB....Nothing made any difference, no better or no worse. I suspect either an electrical or vaccumm problem...somewhere.
So, since the truck suffers from bad paint and 140,000 miles, I decided that from a financial point, its best to cut my losses and get rid of it

Last night I gave it up towards a 98 Acura 3.0 CL. While its no lightning, it is really a luxury "Sled" if you will. For me, I needed reliability in a daily driver, 24 MPG doesn't hurt either.
Don't think I am no ricer, cause this is a far shot from a integra or civic. And no, I don't plan on putting a fart can pipe on there.
On the flip side, I still plan on keeping the 99 for a long time as a weekend driver, so I will focus my efforts on it (Along with my extra $$).
