Hey guys just noticed that front rotors were cracked all to hell today. Took to dealer and tried to get them replaced under warranty. At first they said my pads were worn completely out and the rotors would not be under warranty. After talking to the service manager and telling him we have 2 L's and I think this one has defective rotors he agreed to replace them but I had to pay for the new pads. I didn't argue at all after that. Has anyone else had this problem? This truck has 14,900 miles on it and the pads are probally 75-80% worn. I guess I am extremely hard on them they way that I drive but I was curious to know if anyone has changed pads yet and what was your mileage if you had. If you raise all the hell I do rush out check your rotors for small heat cracks all around them. You can actually feel them with your finger nail.

 

This is the sole reason why I purchased the Maintenance care package. Dealers have nothing to say when something like this happens.

 

I had this problem as well. The cracks were massive and very visible even with the wheels on. The dealer changed the rotors under warranty and my local brake shop put on a set of performance friction pads.

 

Haven't had any problems with mine (except for the squeaking). I got over 23000miles and still have atleast 50% of the pad left.
