Looking for an educated guess... (suspension question)

Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone could figure the outcome of this suspension set up.
I have a '98 ext. cab flairside 2wd. and was wondering what the ride height would be if I installed the FRPP lowering kit thats made for the L. The FRPP site says the kit will lower the L just over an inch at all four corners. Would I be correct in assuming that it would lower a regular F150 to the same height? I know the L is said to sit an inch lower but in a previous post I had awhile back about stock F150 ride height vs. that of the Lightning I found that the variable there is the control arms and that the springs them selves are infact the same size.

So what do you guys think?

Any help would be awsome, Thanks
Marc

Oh, heres my previous post to refer to...

As far as I know the lightning front springs are different then 2wd F150's and thats what causes the 1" drop in the front.

The control arms are the same.

Ya man, thats what I thought too but heard different in my other post, a guy there had a side by side pic that shows the springs to be the same, and another guy says the difference is in the control arms. (I dunno if you checked out the link)
I was under the impression that ride height was mainly determined buy spring size, but now Im just confused.

Anyone else?

the drop is from the springs up front and leafs out back. the FRPP kit comes with springs and shackles correct? if its a 1/2 kit for a lightning, then it will drop your truck 2/2 since the front springs will net 1" over the 1" the lightning coils stock have, and the rear will still only net you 2" because the shackles are the same on all f150's.

It's a spring drop.

With the leverage provided by the control arms, a small change in spring length will translate into a larger change at the wheel. Additionally, two springs can be exactly the same length when unloaded, but very different when loaded. So a visual comparision of two springs is not as helpful as you might assume.

Harley 356's analysis is right on the money.

That's because the Bushings and the Steering Stop are different.
Lower Control arm stampings are the same ... As verified by a form SVT
