Rob:

Are the holes actually cut out by Cervinis or did you cut them out?

Thumbs up

Tampabay:
The holes in the hood are already there when you buy the hood
From what rob says this hood fits nice.
00Blacklightning:
I havent seen the speed grilles in anyother color, youd probably be able to get a nice paint job for it at a body shop. The factory surround is gone on the lower piece i believe. It is secured with tiny nuts and bolts.

TBL,

Since I have the same hood I can tell you that the holes are cut out by Cervini's. It is very well designed, and I can't wait for the ram air kit to come out. It's nice just having the holes letting cool air right ON the engine too.

The odd thing about this hood is even with
the openings it did absolutely nothing
for performance. I picked up 0 mph and no
E.T. improvement but I'll see what happens
in the fall. I also recieved my confirmation
packet from SVT on the SVT Experience in August, anyone else going ?

Here is a email www.streetsceneeq.com or 1-888-477-0707 they can be painted or powder coated. The bottom piece goes into the opening you take out the dark grey grill out of. Both can be done in 1/2 day.

RobG or anybody with this hood)

Got the hood in. Nice quality...

Question:
What did a bodyshop charge you to paint it?
I just got an estimate for $1177.00. Ouch!

Did you allow the hood to season for a week or so installed prior to paint?

Thanks,

Rich

Where can I buy the speed grill online?

When I went to Street Scene's website for the Lightning grill they only had a part number for the main grill, does anyone know the part number for the grill in the bumper?

Rob G:

When I went to Street Scene's website and they showed pictures of F-150s with the street scenes grill but there was no Ford emblem in the center, how did you put the emblem on the grill?

Also how did you make the screens for the ram air hood? Because they look awsome.

I figure ill answer these questions for rob.
The bottom peice has to be ordered from ss.It is custom made by them so call and ask them about it(took 4 weeks).I dont know where you could find the grille online.
Tampabay,
if any body shop charges you that much they are insane.Rob had his done for 400$ And they did a really nice job.We use the same body shop to do all the painting of parts for us.ie. lens caps, tailgate latch, tonneau cover.
