Just bought an '01 L!
Great looking pair Litnfast!!
I'm running an SLP loudmouth cat-back exhaust on the Mustang and it sounds great. I am actually thinking of changing that set up and trying a flowmaster cat-back with a off-road x-pipe. My wife and I love this car and have installed an Eibach Pro-Kit, 20x9 and 20x10.5 Weld Racing Forge-Stars and tuned it with the Diablo Predator. We plan on a Kenne Bell or Whipplecharger sometime soon...

buzzyinmich- ANY catback will sound good along with Headers, and let me guess you don't have cat's on your mids either? But even if you do headers still makes all the difference in how loud your system is,just like svtdvm said. And buying a Bassani just because everyone else has one has nothing to do with it, it's because it's the BEST sounding and performing system for a Lightning! And by saying i'm out of my mind if i think the Bassani sounds good, there must be at least 75% of Lightning owners who are out of their minds as well!! I gurantee if you take a Lightning with a stock exhaust on it, and do a comparison of the Bassani cat back and a Magnaflow cat back. And judge them on nothing but sound QUALITY, not just by what system you think might be louder, the Bassani will win hands down everytime. I also can't see one being that much louder than the other to the point of really noticing it, because they look identical if you get the dual muffler system with the X-Pipe, and not the single muffler system. And i can't believe you think a Bassani cat back purrs just a LITTLE louder than a stock system, if you really think that you must be a little BUZZYinmich!
The only complaint that i've EVER heard about a Bassani cat back is the clamps, and only a few people have had trouble with those. I've had mine on for 3 years now and haven't had any clamp problems at all, if you worry about them all you have to do is check them everytime you change your oil or rotate your tires.Like i said before, after 3 years of driving my Bassani looks just like it did the day it was put on. Can you say the same thing about how good a Magnaflow holds up, and i know you can't say it about a Silverbullet. Everybody has opinions, but when a Large group of Very Knowledgeable people that's been around Lightnings for quite a LONG time share the same opinion about something,i guess that should tell you something.
