Have no idea but the engine light came on yesterday. I took it to advanced auto to have it checked and he said it wasn't throwing a code. He asked me if I was sure it was on and I was like yea the light is on. So he turned it off and that was that. Any idea why the light would have come on but throwed no code?

 

Could be a couple of things chief. Your egr could have died, which will flick that annoying *** light on.

Could be as simple as a code, but those idiots at autozone are compete ****tards!

 

Loose gas cap?

 

Well as far as I know the gas cap is not loose and as far as the truck it seems to be doing just fine. It's under warranty so I'm not worried about it but just weird that it came on but didn't throw a code and then the light stayed on till he turned it off.
