Cruising this afternoon I noticed this horrible noise coming from the roof. Sounded like bolts rolling around or some kind of metal vibrating. So I pull into the Body Shop at my local Blue oval dealer and what do I see in the window? The reflection of my Windsheild molding seperated from where it should be. I was so P.O.ed. Here I am thinking something crazy happened to my brand new "Baby" and all it was was some silly rubber mold flapping in the wind. Guess I should slow it down so I don't loosen and Body panels. NOT!
Just a Heads up if you hear GREMLINS ON THE ROOF.

The same thing happened to me. They didn't do the greatest job putting it back. A little lumpy.

Same thing on my L as well. Scared the bajesus out of me the first time, (well into the 100's). I had the windshield professionals repair mine today.

Same thing happened to the black '99L I test drove in Houston. It sounded like something was knocking on the roof during the entire test drive. When I got back to the dealership, the middle of the top section was dangling.

 

Same experience here!
