Warranty rental coverage. Pissed off.

So, I take my truck in after I launch a plug on 6/24. It's now 7/10 and the truck is still in the dealership, WAITING FOR PARTS.
My rental car is only covered for 5 days, but it's taken alot longer for the dealership to fix it because the tech was off for 3 days for the holiday, the parts didn't come in, etc.
I don't believe that I should have to pay hundreds of dollars for a rental while the dealship takes their sweet time on my truck... I think either Ford, or the dealership should foot this bill for me. Any suggestions on what I can do?

correct me if i'm wrong but i believe as part of the warrantee for SVT whenever you're truck is in the shop it has to be replaced with a loaner at no cost. I get them when i bring it in for regular maintenece, no questions asked. Unless your truck is out of warrantee....

Jakkle is right.. that is part of the SVT program.. i get a loaner also when i use to bring it in for service..i think the catch is that it has to go back to the dealer it was purchased from though..

You're not "entitiled" to anything. On later year SVTs, Ford had an allowance to pay for a loaner/rental car for a certain amount of time or a certain percentage of the cost, as part of the SVT program. Loaner cars and rental cars are up the individual dealer's discression, as to if they want to give you one or not. You are not entitled to a loaner car just because they have your car in for warrenty.

However, I would maybe talk to the service manager and see if they will incur a few more days cost of the rental, based on the fact that the dealer was part of the delay in getting the vehicle back.

Yeah, what Sal said ...

The re-imbursement from Ford used to be $28 / day ... That was
all they would pay for, so you end up driving a Yugo ... LOL

And Sal, you were SUPPOSED to call me !!!
