Smile Back in the saddle again!

Well I couldn't go w/o driving the L for over a week so I decided to drive it to my hockey game this evening.Turns out I was told the wrong rink we were playin at.So as I pulled out of said wrong rink I see a gleaming new white Stang GT coming around the bend."Oh boy..I hope I don't get thrown a punk card"-I say to myself. Well it's a kid and his buddy(both early 20's) and I look out of the corner of my eye and he has the "I just pumped the neighbors cat"look on his face.(Thats a quote from Heartbreak Ridge) I pray we don't catch a light, racing on the street isn't something I want w/ my driving record up for grabs....of course we catch the next light. He's reving and lurching and I do nothing. He stomps off amid smoke a tire squeal and I just cruise along.
We catch the next light and it dawns on me I AM in a hurry to get to the right rink! What an excuse huh?
I bring her to about 1500 rpm's and wait for the light and BYE BYE! Perfect launch,no squeal. I look in my rearview and he's still at the light smokin' and squealin! It was a crushing defeat. I slowed and he caught me around 65 and wanted more,I let him go 4 maybe 5 cars and drilled him again. Next light(maybe a mile and 1/2 away) he gets back next to me(I was waitin for awhile) and says he "never dreamed those trucks were that fast!"I gave him the thumbs up and told him I liked his car. And on our way we went.
Post game(we won 9-1) I am three lights from the highway when I see a TA pull out of a lot and go screamin up to the next light.I get up behind him and see his plates say "WS6". Ah haaaaahhhh. But there are two trucks in front of us,an Expy is directly in front of us and a tow truck in the right lane.Damned if at the next light the tow and Expy don't run the yellow and we catch the red!
The TA was purple, nice sounding exhaust, w/ a fine lookin blonde seat cover.I see the driver point to my truck and say somethin' to his lady so I figure he'll want some. 1500 rpms, green and SEE YA!I squealed a bit(uneven pavement i think) but he squealed A TON. He never got closer than 3 cars.I gave him the thumbs up at the last light(he wasn't headin on the highway) and got the 1 finger salute as a response! Oh well,Hope his girl likes a LOSER!

Hitman

Sorry for the looooooong post, but it's been a loooong time since I've driven my baby, let alone run someone.

No one wants to race this Lightning since I took off the muffler. Now its as loud as it looks mean! I get about 5-8 compilments on it a week and the occaisional "did you race a guy in a... because he said he lost to a Black Lightning." I love it! I also have been travelling closer to the speed limit due to the loudness in the cab, its much easier to tell how fast you are going when you can actually hear the engine.

Nice Kills BTW, can't wait until I get back to the track!

Hitman - nice kills. Sounds like you got over the bite the law dogs took out of you. I usually take the 1 finger salute as a display of that persons IQ or how tall they feel after getting spanked by a truck.

Everyone,
Thanx for the kudos on the kills. But I don't think I'll be maiking it a habit. I've said that before though!
Zorprime,
The closest track to me is Keystone,it's about a 1/2 hr from Pittsburgh(an hr from me),the tracks you mentioned are on the other side of PA I believe. Good luck.

Hitman <-- One no speedin',speed limit obeyin' "****"!
