I know what she means. I drive in the lap of luxury in my Denali seats.

However, I would suggest that if you haven't sat in an Expedition or Navigator, try one out. I swapped my brothers Navigator for a week and would say that the seating, other than the lumbar, is not much more comfortable.

Other suggestions would be to find a leather seat from an F150. Sorry I don't know the models.

What I would really like to see is a set of leather seat covers being made for the Lightnings with the SVT logo, proper color, and such. Would cost a whole lot less than completely replacing the seats. My biggest problem, now that I adjusted my lumbar supports, is the suede-like material that grabs your jeans and requires, ummmm..., occasional adjustment.

I guess I've just been spoiled by leather for too long.

Can anybody say group purchase for leather covers?

Pacecar18,

The photo is pretty crappy resolution. The side windows were tinted 22% which is pretty dark, but you can easily see in. It is very close to the factory tint on the rear.

Rgarding the photo in my sig., I know it takes up a little bandwidth, but I'm kind of proud of it right now. It won't last forever!

Funny thing - we have leather in our Trans Am WS6 and the Hot Rod article mentioned something about leather seating in the Vette.

I haven't had any problem falling out of those seats! But it sure is easier to get comfortable in them.

Is your tint in the pic above that dark from the factory? Just wondering!

I wouldn't post your sig to many times if you plan to keep that picture in there. Some people get a little upset. no names please

I personally think the seats in the Lighting look too good to rip out. But if I had to do it ...

I'd go with a black leather or grey cloth seat for the passenger and a recaro for the driver.

Thumbs down

"DON'T LIKE THESE SEATS?" I couldn't be more pleased with them. My mom and my brother both have Yukons and my dad has a Tahoe, and we all hate their seats. I imagine that they have the same seats as the Denali. You slide around on the leather and it gets HOT during the Texas Summer. I drove the L for 13 hours straight from WFC (only stopped 3 times for about 3 minutes to fill up) and never had any comfort issues. These seats are unbelievable. Oh well, to each his own.

How much would you guys pay to put bucket seats in your truck?
As I think it would be rather expensive to put navigator buckets in the truck, but those navigator buckets with heat and AC would rule.

I love these seats, only one problem, you can't sleep very well in them. They are great cruising seats. I have driven across the continent and back (AK to miami, fl) and when you do that, sleep becomes a factor. That was in my Isuzu spacecab. The seats reaclined almost flat, being an extended cab helps, but I could still manage a nap sitting upright.

With the Lightning, the drive from Las Vegas to up here was much more fun, but sleep deprivation was almost a problem. My best friend and I were almost at eachother's throats. I finally re-called the days of working on the north slope, and when you work up there, you find the time to catch a nap, and sleep in any position. Sorry for the rant.
