Superchip reburn reburn
Does anyone know of the reburn of the superchip? Whats is the number to Mike? I heard the reburn was for the 2000 Lightning? Does this make a difference? Please Help.

I just received an e-mail from Mike. The reburn is for the 1999 only. he is not sure if and when they will reburn for the 2000.
Following is his letter to me:

That program exists only for the 1999 Lightning right now, it's brand new
after testing at St. Louis, as I announced right there on F-150 Online a
couple of weeks ago, and *not* for the 2000 Lightning. I made a big, bold
announcement of all this a couple weeks ago right there in the Lightning
section, so everybody would know.
The program they are referring to, CUX1TRAC, has a performance program for
the street in Position 1, and then a RACE-ONLY program in Position 2, that
you CANNOT use on the street. This program was tested at Ford World
Challenge in St. Louis, and the program ran 13.16 @ 104 mph with just the
Superchip and airbox mod, on "Johnny Lightning"'s 1999 Lightning.
Superchips will also be working on a similar type of program for the 2000
Lightning, which will hopefully be available in the future.
They were able to get it done for the 1999 Lightning and test it on
numerous Lightnings there at St. Louis. You have to remember that it's not
often that you have an opportunity to test an all-out race-only program on
many vehicles under the same conditions, like the event at St. Louis. You
have to be very careful with these Lightnings, as they are not very
consistent, especially the 1999's, so they can only test one program like
this at a time. Then they see if that type of setup will work on the 2K
Lightnings as well, and that takes some time, of course. Remember, this
just got done for the 1999 Lightning, and they have been on the streets for
a year now.
As soon as the RACE ONLY program for the 2000 Lightning is done, I will
announce it there on F-150 Online.
As far as getting you that program when it becomes available, and I should
also say *if* Superchips decides that it can work on the 2K Lightning, we
will be happy to reflash you to that program Jim, of course. What's
involved is simply you sending me back your module, and then we reflash it
and send it back to you. The only charge for you will be the return
shipping, of course.
