Thankfully there's no snow here in Baton Rouge, but I have been unfortunate enough to be caught in some rain in the L2. It seemed to do just fine (but I do drive it like it's an egg).
As far as putting a snow plow on the front... Why would ya have to, geez, the front bumper is big enough to plow snow on it's own!

All Lightnings shipped to MN have the four wheel drive option. When all four are locked in its easier to nav through the BS on the f150online board...F1's and snow.. Ouch!

Saleen, no problem in the rain. Never tried the "L" in the snow. Ford put a sticker on the door frame recommending not running the truck in the snow with the stock Goodyear F1s.

,This is just my thoughts on it: I had the pregnant wife with me, I was getting on the highway via a sweeping on ramp, it was pouring rain and there was mud on the ramp (which I did not know till after the fact). Well this is Texas and nobody in Texas knows how to drive in the rain (I’m from Washington). So of course these guys are flying down the right lane at 15 MPH above the speed limit. I figure I was going about 45 MPH and needed about 10 MPH more to merge safely. Well to make a long story short, the rear of the L kicked out and before I knew it, I was over the curve, on the grass and out of control. Scared the pants out of the MRS and me.

I have been driving RWD performance cars for 25 years, I’m always double careful with the wife and triple careful in the rain. I won’t lie and say I have never lost control of a car while pushing it to the limits, but I have never lost control of a car while using extreme safety and caution. Well the L is not a car, and in the rain, if you do want too much power the L will supply it in spades. I now carry all my tools in the back during any type of rain. I would not like to drive the L everyday in snow. I have lowered my L 3/4 and this seems to work REALLY well.

This is a quote from the TireRack (who might be unreliable in their info...):

NOTE: The first 55% of the Winter Dueler DM-Z2 tread depth features the Link Multicell Compound while the remaining 45% features a standard winter tire compound.
