JohnnyLightning *R* System!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OK Guys/Gals I just got the word the 1st 25 sets should be finished this week! ..We currently have 15 people on the list...We are just now working on the pricing..Let me ask everybody what would be a (fair) price for this new set-up and without a doubt the Very Best in Quality/Performance Hands Down!..This Kit will have a set od 1 5/8" to 1 3/4" Equal Length Long Tube Header All Stainless!.The Tubes are individual Tubes for super Easy installation! They have a 3" collector with a divider cone,3" mid piping with 3" cats.and also have a 3" pipe to put in place of the cats if you choose to do so! A single 3" in and out Special Tuned S tainless Muffler with a built in X. with dual 3" pipes to polished Stainless Tips!.o2 extenders/plugs ect...This sytem made 28 more HP! and over 35 ft. lbs of trq. over The Kooks Set-up that was on the test truck!. The Truck last fall in 40* temps. went 10.3's @ 131+..We put the new system on, went to the track and in 85-90* temps and 98% humidty the truck ran a new best et of a 10.1 and a new best mph 136.8!..We could only get 1.5 60 fts!.which hurt the et's and the temps were hurting us also! No Doubt The system Flat out Kicks!.And has A Sound of its own!.We JLP/Bassani want to be able to offer this new System for a (fair) Price!..So please be reasonable and give your Honest/Fair opinions!..I will gaurentee you will not be Disapointed with this Top Knotch System in either Quality or Performance!.... We will have some real nice photo's here shortly... JL

Wouldn't a "fair price" be figured by taking the build cost, adding in just enough to cover R&D, overhead, and a slight profit? I would think you would know best what you can offer these for, unless you are willing to take a loss on the system just to get them out there, in which case maybe 100-200 bucks over the cost of the current "next best" system on the market. Either way, good looking system!

hmm

Ok, so if you take the same truck, same tune, and already has long tubes and high flow cats...........

Put this system on........you picked up that amount of power and 2 tenths more at the track when it is 60 degrees hotter with worse 60ft times? All on a newly designed header/highflow system then you already had on the truck?

Nice looking system. The fact that it is completely stainless is nice too. Are the clamps and other hardware fully stainless?

As far as price, i'd say to stay competitive, $1800 bucks plus tax and shipping should do the trick.

You're spot on with your comment trouble is they have to have a crystal ball to estimate the number of systems that they will sell in order to amortize the costs over a number of projected units.

I think if it stays under 2k it'll sell and if it's less like in the 1.5 t0 1.75k range, JLP will sell more.

I'll be in the market and depending on the price this looks like a winner.

Knew that one was coming!I figure it is the 30? numbers and NOT the 32? one since the price is almost double on that series.I know mine are the 304? but I had the INSIDE only coated to help prevent the cracking that heat causes in that series. So far so good about 4k miles at WOT and still no crackes. Be nice to see something in a 317 or 321 but you are right, cost prohibitive. As long as they are 300 series they should have a pretty decent life expectancy. Hopefully not 400 series.

I'll have to check on the grade of stainless i believe its 300 series..i'm trying to get the price as low as we can.. i hope for the COMPLETE system 02 extender's,cats, cat pipe eliminators, bung plugs, egr plug,Gaskets, bolts, ect..$2,299.99..Remember this system is Totally Different in design.(Equal Length Long Tubes 1 5/8-1 3/4,All 3" dia.pipe) and cost much more to Design/Build than the currrent systems being offered..and is 100% Stainless!.Backed with Bassani Quality!. I'll keep everyone updated as we get closer.the price should be final here in 2-3 days..Thanx... JL

Since this is geared more toward a race system can we get a system without any cats to lower the price??? Cats are pretty expensive and I know for mine they will be sitting on the shelf if I had them.
