Moroso 7qt. oil pans

today i recieved my Moroso oil pan.. and i noticed that number one it was used.. let me just mention i got it off EBAY so did i expect anything better? no.. LOL.. but this is what i noticed, it has a ford logo stamped under the pan along with a ford part number.. is this how Moroso makes there pans for the Modular guys? or did some ***** make this at home and sell it as a new pan? if anyone is running these pans in there trucks please shed some light on this situation and tell me this is normal. if you have pics post them up to see.
thanks in advance...

95% of after market pans start as a factory pan.... reason being a stamping die for the depth of most pans is not cheap. plus with the kick outs its just simply cant be stamped out....

guys thanks for the info.. but now that i actually looked over this thing it has a crack at the top of where it bolts to the block going down about 2 inches to the pan and it is also warped from the crack.. so now i went through PAYPAL and filed a dispute with this guy.. this friggen oil pan is useless to me and anyone else who would have it.. i want my money back. all of it.. he is from Hawai i hope i spelled that right.. maybe a an L owner or a former owner.. i dont know and at this point i dont care.. i asked paypal in the dispute for a %100 refund included shipping and paypal fees.. i hope i get it now!!! if not i always wanted to visit Hawai, i do have his address and i might just go there for a vacation along with a Marine buddy of mine who is stationed out there...

That really stinks. I couldn't stand such an experience and that's why I won't buy from E-Bay.

I would be likely to buy a plane ticket and make him wear it...

Anyone who does something like this hiding in the near anonymity of the internet deserves to be tracked down and get the beating of his life... and never dare to do this again.

I remember seeing a bunch of separate Lightning stuff for sale last week on ebay from someone in Hawaii... thought it kinda odd that someone in Hawaii was parting out a Lightning. They might have grenaded a motor, so they were parting it out.

He may not have realized it was damaged. Give him a chance to refund you. If he won't then let him wear it!

I know you feel dis'd but if a seam is split is not a problem to fix, Moroso is in Guilford CT. (about 20 minutes from my house) I'm sure they would be willing to fix it, might be easier/faster than a cash dispute.
