OBII code P0175...
OBII code P0175...
Ever since I upgraded to the Whipple, and changed to bigger pumps, I've been getting this code. I've checked my Vacuum lines and cleaned the MAF. The code keeps coming back. Sometimes the next day. Sometimes a week later. Has anyone else ran into this problem or have any ideas. The truck has been dyno tuned locally with SCT products. It runs and idles fine.
code
sounds like the computer is dumping fuel because it's reading a lean condition.
Did you change the Maf or injectors at all?
Otherwise i'd like for in intake path air like after the maf. Maybe throttle body, plenum, blower gasket, intercoolergasket.

New 2400 SCT MAF and 60# injectors were installed before the new pumps. I didn't have the problem prior to the pump installation. I also adjusted the Throttlebody so that it was slightly open. It was sticking slightly. (Accufab) It wasn't bothering me; the guy tuning it commented on it. That's my next target. Don't know if that makes any difference though. EGR equipment was deleted as well.
hmmmm
i'm going to guess it has to do with the egr delete.
Was it tuned after you did this. Did you plug and reroute all the lines correctly?
If you weren't having this problem before the install with the new injectors and maf, it's probably not it.
Did you try re bolting the whipple.
I remember when the KB's first came out there was some issues with gaskets and mid plates not sealing and there was some wierd codes.
The code you are getting is a rich condition on bank 2 and you computer can't lean the truck out any more than it is to fix it.
Does it come on at any given time, or when you are wot??
You can always throw on a predator or xcal and make sure the 02 sensors are moving in range, to eliminate them being a problem.

EGR delete was done when the whipple was installed. I probably shouldn't have mentioned that. I started getting P0175 after the pumps went in and after the throttlebody adjustment. It could be something totally unrelated. I'm fishing for someone that had the same problem or has seen the same thing. If I can't chase it down, I'll end up taking it to the dealership. It's worth a try. The guy who usually works on it there is pretty good. Just don't want to spend money before I exhaust my options. O2 sensors were replaced just after the Whipple went on. One of them was a little lazy.
The code usually hits not long after start up. Pulling thru the parking area or accelerating away from the first few stops in my trip. WOT has nothing to do with it. Just normal driving.

Readjusted the throttlebody. The shifts aren't as hard now and the wideband doesn't fluctuate as drastically as before at startup. No code yet; but, the jury is still out. I've gone as long as a week without a code before; so, I've some waiting to do.

Throttlebody didn't help. Just had the intake decarbed, fuel system treatment, and a new filter. If this doesn't work, I have a couple more options. Thanks for your input, Nintova.

You may have a weak cylinder giving you the rich code.

Let us know what you find,
I've been getting the opposite codes P0171,174 - Too Lean, and I haven't touched anything...
Just today I got the P0171 code but not the 174, sometimes I get it once a tank full and this last time it went through 1 1/2 tank fulls before getting it again...

I got the 171 and the 174 codes... I am going to try and find the hose that everyone talks about. I guess it's behind the SC near the base of the intake manifold. That is about all I know.
I tried getting my hand back there before and the only thing I found was dirt.
Can anyone give me a better idea as to what iI am looking for?

I'm waiting for a tune now from another tuner to test out this theory. Apparently, I'm pretty far down on the waiting list for a retune though. Still open to suggestions.
