trying to decide, more spray, old kb, new kb/whipple?

trying to decide which way to go, would like a little input

my goal is to get into the 10's, would like to be able to do it in the heat

right now i've got a ported eaton, 10lb lower and 75 shot buitl motor 8.9 c/r heads and cams

once i make some changes, based on the other nights data logging, i figure i'll probably be running 11.6's maybe 11.7's in the summer heat

.20's or so in the fall

i can go up to the 150 shot, i can also still add an upper to the eaton, this is obviously the cheapest way

with the prices on the old kb's starting to get good, i was thinking about maybe going that route, will an old kb with a stock type plenum give enough power to get into the 10's without spray? what kind of power/torque do they put down? i'm 545/677 right now

if i go this route, i don't wanna spend the money on a plenum, if i was gonna do that, i'd just do the whipple or 2.6kb for the extra few bucks

if i could get away with an old one thats probably the route i would choose. i'd like to get away with the spray and have the power all the time, of course since i have the kit, even if i go old kb, i could still throw a 50 or something at it. the whole point really though is to get away from spending dough on the nitrous all the time

obviously the new blowers would give plenty of power to get there

just getting some insight into the old kb's i guess

so its a fixed hit??? I'm running a junky zex kit right now and a KB. I cant get the truck to hook on the spray. It spins no matter how far out I spray it. I think Thats why a lot of fast guys run the pogramable kits.I just bought some 30" tires and I hope I can get it to hook on the spray. If I was you I would go KB and turn it up.

In the $2000 range, used KB's are really getting tempting.
