Lightnings & R/T's at the track
Hello Everybody,
On Monday I asked what blown Dodge R/T would
run, I got my answer yesterday at Great Lakes
Dragway in southern Wisconsin. A Powerdyne
powered regular cab R/T ran a best of 13.66.
Along with the blower he had every other bolt
on part for his truck as well as Nitto
Drag Radials. Needless to say I was impressed
as this is by far the quickest R/T I have
seen with my own eyes. This made me go out and buy a set of M/T ET Drags this morning
for my Lightning. With stock F-1s it's either
spin or bog and I've had enough of that.
I'm hoping this Friday I'll get to try them out at the strip and I'll keep you guys posted on what kind of improvement they make.
Later.
Rob

With only minor mods, the fastest time i have seen is around 14.8s for R/Ts.Tonight they were running crappy though...mid to low 15 range.the weather was great tonight.A brand new silver lightning was only running a best of 14.2 with 3500 miles! I guess my 13.9 consistant wasnt so bad.I have seen a 13.7 out of a stock one though.early this year
