Opinions on this hood?
Hey guys, Sal here. I may finish the hood I said I was going to do a while ago, but would like some feedback on how it looks. This picture is of the scoop actually on my truck, but it's not painted so I did the color real quick with the image editor.

Ahhh Sal no offense.......
Maybe stick with the motor stuff.
Hoods are hard thing please everybody. Plus I would say it would be a crappy buisness. Venders.... QC.... shipping....
I think you'd make more money just catching up your orders and developing more engine mods.
My Opinion, Robert

Actually Robert, it looks much better in person. That's a REALLY crappy picture, but it's the only one I took. It's actually a modifed Boss 429 scoop fit to my hood, and it has a matching section of grille in the front of it. I wasn't looking to sell this set up, this was an idea I had to make the PSP truck look different at events and such.

Sal,
I'm in the market for a hood and I've seen a few I like...Unfortunately,no offense intended here,I don't like that one. The scoop seems a bit to big for my tastes.
Sorry,
Hitman<---- One no speedin',speed limit obeyin' ****!

Sal,
Why do you want to look different than the other trucks at events? That way they
would think your cheating or something along
that line. I didn't care for the hoods looks.
If you really want a hood scoop try the '60's
tear drop. I changed the rear window and put
that molded wing tonneau on mine. It stands
out quite a bit from others. You did see it
at the WFC didn't you Sal?

Sal, I like the idea of the hood scoop but yours seems way too high and abrupt. If you lowered it, it would look much better, something like the classic "stinger" on the 67 corvette would look awsome.
Sal,
I was looking at my Bolt yesterday and trying to figure out how to rig a nice looking hood, BUT my approach was to make it ****ional. The scoop would be on the drivers side and cover a hole for the air intake system. I'm thinking the scoop opening would face the windshield kind of like the firebird formula hoods of the past. If done skillfully it would look great even tho it was not centered. I don't have the skills to do this but I'm sure it could be done. I like a more svelte approach, your hood a little too agressive, But to each his own.

I must be in the minority, but I like it. I dont think I'd buy it as is, but if it flared a little bit at the base and had a more aero look to it, I'd certainly be interested. The other thing is, I have held off on purchasing a hood because all of the aftermarket ones add too much weight. If I could get functional ram-air without adding a ton of weight to the front, I'd be the first in line.
Sal,
I am going to replace my stock hood with
the Cervinis Ram Air hood this week, so if you'd like I can send you my old hood (red)
for further experimantation. I personally
like the look of the mid-80's SVO mustang
hood, maybe you could fabricate something along those lines. Have the scoop on the
drivers side and mount some tubing so the
outside air goes directly to your filter.
Whatta ya think ?
