Opinions on this hood?
Sal,
The scoop looks like it was in a fistfight with bondo, and lost (this may be due to the touch-up you had to do.) Anysomehow, I'll venture that the OEM smooth styling of the Lightning would go well with a smaller recessed scoop, possibly justified toward the driver's side, right over the air filter. Since you can alter the image, how 'bout painting one there to see how it looks?

Sorry, Sal, but it doesnt seem to "Flow" with the design of the front of the truck. The tapered, closed front scoops look better in my opinion and "flow" better to the lines of the truck.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
In high school I added my own scoop to a '67 Fairlane. It was an old fusebox leftover from when we switched to circuit breakers. I punched out some side holes for extra air and it had a handy access door right to the carb.

Nope, first off we all know the L has an air intake on the side, so the retro throw back does not work i.e. middle of the hood. I would like to see a NACA duct molded into the hood, like an AAR Cuda or the Viper-R.
Wow, that scoop looks HORRIBLE. Too angular, too tall, too....Yuk Yukity Yuk!! Sorry, but, I think a more rounded look would be the ticket. And more toward the front end would be good too.
