It's funny you should say that, Sal. They get good and bad press over on 300cforums.com. Some say growing pains, others say flat out bad customer service. Those who have gone with some of the 6.1 mods rave about them. Couldn't offer an opinion myself. Never did business with them. If DCX doesn't fix the horrible torque management, ESP glitches which are robbing these cars blind, I may be picking up their torque mod. Then I'll be able to comment.

This is perfect for Rob though. One day he can whoooooooooooooo hooooooooooooo them and the next he can booooooooooooo booooooooooooo them.

[QUOTE=l-menace]Personally, i'd rather have a srt GC instead of the lightning.

Remember how everyone talked crap about the srt-10 truck, before the mods started coming out? Stock they'll take a lightning. add exhaust and let it breathe better mid-low 12's.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Im sorry but there is no way in hell that an srt-10 is running mid to low 12's with just an exhaust system - it just isnt happening

stock they run mid 13's and maybe you get 13.2 with a good driver. I think you would have to go a little further than exhaust to get low 12's

p.s. Rob's son....better start preparing for The Chubb Institute or Devry or the military.
WTF..Does that mean...or the military. Are you saying if he is broke his son will have to join the military? I know many young adults in the military with parents of well means(AKA CASH). They did it to serve their country not because they could not afford college. Please clarify, I hope you are not that shallow.

I had a customer with an 06 SRT-8 Charger have me install and tune their blower kit. First off, they overcharged the guy (double billed), then they lied to him about it. Then when I called with some tech questions, they flat out lied to me about having installed one of these kits on an 06 Charger (not a 300). Nothing fit, the directions didn't match (were for a 300), parts were missing, and I had to redo a lot of the work because of poor parts and directions. Then the car didn't make half the claimed power (only 60rwhp, where 130rwhp increase was advertsied), and when I tried to call for tech help, they wouldn't give me the time of day. But yet, the father (Mike) had no problems calling me every few days trying to get me to buy into them for 25k to distribute their stuff.

When myself and the customer scoured the SRT forums looking for other's experiance with this blower kit, we only found ONE person who had it, and he was their internet mouthpiece it seemed, so that wasn't even a valid person. Seems like they are just the typical company that spedns zillions on advertising and marketing, to give the appearance of a legit, quality company.

I would normally never trash another company, but their service and how they treated both myself and the customer was way out of line. Maybe they should be called BS motorsports instead.

BTW, between being overcharged for the blower kit, and all the extra labor I had to charge the customer because of the poor quality of the kit, he spent almost 12k for 60rwhp.

Not shallow at all. It was an attempt at humor. I served in the military for six years. Admittedly so, my initial hope was to get some type of an education and the GI Bill. Serving my country came as part of the enlistment. I'm no hero, but I'm damned proud of my service. And to give some perspective on why I said that, I joined in 1986. No wars, military spending was LOOOW, moral was too. Back then they took just about anyone. A lot of people I served with were 'there or jail'. Not saying it was a joke, but definitely not today's military. If I were to join in today's climate, it would have been more purposefelt because of what's going on. Definitely more at risk. My hat's off to those serving now and all Veterans.

Hope that clears it up and I hope you realize I was kidding. Sometimes words don't convey someone's feelings. Happens all the time on boards like this.

WOW. That stinks.

I think I know who you're talking about as far as being one of the first ones to have the S/C installed. And what's really sad is that if you were to post this over on the other boards it would turn into a p-match.

May'be I'll wait on the torque mod.

When I'm bidding on choice merchandise on ebay

I never post on the truck sites until I know I've won or lost. Wouldn't want to bring it to the attention of someone who may decide to start up a bidding war.

Good luck Rob. Everyone has to move on to something else sometime. I've gone the old C3 Corvette route and enjoy it so far.

So who is gonna take his place as the mad poster? RTKILLAs gone and now Rob's gone. Where's those newbs when you need one.

Rob will be kickin' himself in the tail by August once the SRT/8 has been down for a few weeks due to on-going problems.

"AND LET IT BREATHE BETTER"

they've run 13.0 BONE STOCK, I'm sure there are some 12.9's out there.

Good Luck Rob

In all seriousness I hope you enjoy it Rob, it's a nice ride, one that few of us would throw out of our driveway, I was thinking as well- you now have a w-a-r-r-a-n-t-y again, if you do manage to hurt it, bring it back, fix it for free, who's better than you. I know you've owned more than one hot rod but wait to mod, it's such a new model most of the good parts are still in the works, once the mods really start to hit the streets watch how many guys tear up axles, transfer cases and motors trying to set the world on fire being a trendsetter, if you have a monster buget no problem but for the rest of us, watch and learn what works. Good luck, Todd
