Post So. Cal Auto Spa Get Together

The first Saturday of every month, a get together is held at the Auto Spa in Santa Clarita.(By Six Flags Magic Mountain)(Profits go to charity) Great cars and trucks are displayed free of charge. Display your vehicle or enjoy other works of art.( Lots of people, room for limited vehicles in lot, but lots of adjacent p/lots). If you live anyplace near to the location it is worth the evening. BBQ's, good music and great company make the evening. Bring your L by for a photo shoot. It would make a great Kodak moment.

Question

What time does it start? What does it cost to get in?

An AUTO SPA?

Sorry, but this conjurs up frightening images of wine sipping, cheese munching yuppies admiring foreign automobiles with bad electrical systems.

If you take your Lightning to one of these soirees, it will feel humiliated. Leave it home and drive the Bimmer.

PDLightning- I would have been up for it, but I'm going to Sears Point this weekend on my motorcycle. Otherwise I would have come with the new Bolt. I've shown my car there before.

Alphadoggy - Admission is free. You pay for the food.
BadDog - The show is all American Iron - mostly musclecars, custom rods and trucks, a few custom harleys, classic restores.
AutoSpa is a car wash in a car service and repair shopping center.

PDLightning,

My ram air hood will be finished by tomorrow. I might be willing to check it out, show off my new hood and all Do any races go on afterwards? And what time does it start? Can you give directions from the 405 or 5 North? Santa Clarita is kind of far for me but hopefully Saturday will be a good day for cruisin anyways.

Thanks,
Mike

There's a similar deal on Fri and Sat nights at a place called "Cruisers" in Northridge. A few cool cars and trucks- blown mustangs, etc., but too many mexican lowrider trucks with hydraulics. Didn't see any lightnings there, but if anyone lives in the area, I suggest stopping by sometime, to scare the little kids in their "bad" silverados. Doesn't sound like the "Auto Spa" is a place for my CLK430, although I'd love to see some of your L's in person.

Attention Chuck W. BRIMSTONE, ALPHADOGGY and BACK2FORD. This is a monthly meet for charity. No admission and always on the first Saturday of the month. If you can't make it this month, there is every other month. It is a low profile event, usually with entertainment and BBQ type food. Nice vehicles on display and a good reason to get together. Dont expect a giant show, but a more reserved, kick back type of atmosphere. If anyone needs directions or more info, e-mail me at mterry@torrnet.com for further .. See ya

Cool

I understand they have a similar type of deal here in Ventura on the third Friday at Foster's Freeze. Haven't been, but intend to check it out on the 19th.

Cool

Have since found out that the first Friday of the month is Cruise Night in Santa Paula, from 6 to 9. Hope it isn't a bunch of lowriders, but will have to check it out at least once.

ALPHADOGGY, let us know how Santa Paula is. It is half way between our houses and would be a good meet location and a Kodak moment!

I went to the car show at the Autospa tonight and did not see a White 00L. I did see another Black 00L like mine, but did not see the owner. Was anyone from the board there?
