Ever have this bad feeling...

when this happens...


This was taking the supercharger off BTW

I know I can get two nuts on there and TRY and get it off. Hopefully it works. Now I just need to get the nuts in that thread size. Too bad I don't have another vehicle to go to the store. So I guess I wait thill the wife gets home. Sighhh...

been there done that!!!!, except mine broke clean off level with the block, had to drill it out.

You could also try to grind flats on the sides of the thread. Then put a cresent wrench on it. At least you will be able to get penetrating oil to the threads now.

WYDOPNTHRTL told me a long time ago to hit the head of the bolt a few times with a hammer BEFORE lossening, it breaks the "bond" and the bolt removes easier.

I did this with my S/C. Last time I had it apart I used Loctite, the wrong type, and put HIGH temp stuff on there. i was worried it was going to pull the threads from the lower manifold. Nope. A few taps and they all came right out.

That's why the blower bolts are supposed to be a one time use. Once torqued they cannot be re-used.

I would say his problem was caused by the corrosion of the threads. If the bolt had broken when he was trying to retorque it, then you could blame the one time use thing. A guy would go broke if he replaced bolts every time he took it apart.
